Nice, online’s the way to go these days if you’re working. My wife has a degree from SFU here in BC, a Post-bac and is now hoping to do online/distance with Dalhousie in Nova Scotia.
Long term (3-5 years) the goal is to move to the east coast. I can’t deal on the west. Cost of living is insane, I feel like we’re failing here.

East coast ain’t much better. I’d recommend looking at areas just within 500 miles of the West Coast. Cost of living in those areas like Montana, Idaho and eastern Oregon tend to be more affordable.

East Coast of Canada. A house anywhere in Metro Van is $1M+ at this point. I could buy a decent place in Halifax for $400K easily.

Even the inland parts of Canadia aren’t immune to insane real estate issues via bubbles and speculating/money laundering. Calgary can be pretty hot, southern Ontario is insane - you’ll need to go to the Maritimes (Canadian Maine).

Congrats, sorry I didn’t get more notes back to you on the letter. Sounds like it worked though.

$400k, what kind of salary are you pulling in? I wouldn’t be able to get a 100k house at any point in my life because of reasons.

lol, I do OK for salary (for a 26 year old), but my place has gone from $250K 4 years ago to over $500K now.

I’m 33, and only making $13 an hour at a dog food factory. I’m supposed to be working as a machinist with a starting salary of $16/hr, but after 15 job interviews this year, no job offers from the relevant companies. Best part is that I’m deaf, and had received training for six months at a local Community College on the government dime.
How do you think I feel?

Yeah, that’s really tough. I have no idea how people are supposed to make it these days. I lucked out on a ton of stuff, but my friends are struggling. Most people are struggling. It’s really shitty

Brainerd International Raceway, Central Minnesota. I’ll also be making appearances at Road America, Blackhawk Farms, and possibly Barber this fall. My first track day of the year is May 6th with my opening race the following weekend.
